Awards Highlight Cassia Communities’ Accomplishments

Cassia communities have many accomplishments to be proud of. The I Am Cassia Awards Dinner May 1, 2024, celebrated those accomplishments.

“There have been so many outstanding accomplishments throughout our organization in the last year that we could not let them go unidentified,” Cassia CEO Bob Dahl said to those in attendance. “And the beautiful part is your accomplishments truly embody the Cassia standards.”

“Every Piece Matters” served as the motto for the event.

“We’ve come through a merger, COVID, civil unrest and budget reductions. It took the work of everyone in this room to emerge stronger, ready to move forward,” Bob said. “Every piece truly does matter!”

Leaders from Cassia communities came together to recognize all the employees who made the accomplishments possible. Leadership represented communities including independent living, assisted living, memory care, health care centers, adult day services and rehabilitation.

“Tonight is about celebrating you!” Bob said. “Our sites are the heart of our mission. Day in and day out, you are leading teams that deliver fullness of life in the spirit of Christ’s love. You are living out our standards.”

Community leaders received awards recognizing their communities for being an example of one of eight specific Cassia service standards. These include collaboration, compassion, excellence, innovation, integrity, respect, stewardship and unity.

I Am Cassia Director of Engagement Aimee Robertson says the event did exactly what organizers intended for it to do.

“The 2024 I Am Cassia Awards was truly a night designed to highlight and celebrate the Cassia standards ‘coming alive’ at each of our sites,” Aimee says.

It took a lot of thought and effort to determine which sites received which awards.

“Regional leaders diligently reviewed all the outstanding accomplishments achieved by our 60-plus sites and aligned each achievement with a Cassia standard. That part was easy – our sites exemplify the standards daily!” Aimee says. “The hardest part was narrowing it down to just one accomplishment per site! It was such a collaborative, celebratory night for all!”
